I was trained in computer science and biology - disciplines ideal for an underwater photographer. The necessity of managing life-support technology while maintaining situational awareness demands focused concentration. This condition creates a capsule out of everyday life that is an ideal place for admiring the complex beauty of even the smallest living thing.
My day job is at the Lowell Observatory, where I write software to operate one of the world’s largest telescopes. I have a wonderful wife and divide my time between Maryland and Arizona.
