I am a self taught artist and I work with many mediums. My current work is created on wood canvas using Pyrography to create details. My style is very colorful and is inspired by the things around me with a twist. Working with wood and my Pyrography tool is reminiscent of sitting at a bonfire which is one of my favorite things to do. It helps to refocus my thoughts and helps inspire new ideas. As a result of my love of wood and fire I started this new series. The scent of burning wood is why I love to create with this
medium.
I am currently working on my latest series of Wood and Pyrography paintings and the theme of this series is “Transformation”, the things that change our lives in wonderful ways. I depict life changing moments with distinct symbolism and my color choices are always full of life. I also have a passion to create art for picture books. I am a published illustrator with a very unique style and my work can be found in Picture Books and Editorial Magazines. My current published books are “I Spy a Dragonfly” and “The Sunflowers”. Both are full of color and my signature style.
