"My paintings explore the intensity, texture and luminosity of color.  The placement of color in my work reveals illusions and spatial adjacencies.  In these places I hide, play and imagine new spaces. My paintings are abstractions that suggest impressions of the world around us".

Helen received her art and architecture degrees at Parsons School of Design in New York, and Princeton University. Featured as one of “30 Artists: 30 and Under” by The New York Times Magazine in 1994,  Helen has contributed art work and architectural work to  exhibits at The Urban Center, The Van Alen Institute, The Municipal Arts Society of New York, L’Institut Francais d’Architecture, The Wexner Center, Trinity Spotlight on Art, and the Museum of Modern Art.  She has provided commentary for NPR, Metropolis Magazine, and The New York Times.
