Jeanne Van Arsdall | Lake City, Florida USA

I began my artistic journey in 1979 in Florida. After moving to North Carolina in 1982, I continued honing my skills with artists in Hendersonville, Asheville, and Brevard, in addition to studying at Blue Ridge Technical College. I began with oils and acrylics and discovered the beautiful North Carolina Mountains provided a plethora of subjects ready for transference from my eyes to canvas.

Returning to my native Florida in 1990, I added watercolor and pen and ink to my repertoire. Recent endeavors include studying with Mary Owens from Owens Designs in NY, who incorporates oil rouging with pen and ink—a unique concept.

I work in oils, acrylics, watercolor, pen and ink and mixed media. I love abstract as well as realism. Many of my pieces, along with commissioned works, can be found in collector’s homes across the United States.
