"do enthuse" 2008 | Mixed Media | 26" X 28" X 2" Completely mounted in Frame

My art is about transformation, the circle of life, and soul-searching.  I take ordinary found objects and create new images and meaning with them – abstract assemblages that communicate concepts.  The objects I use seem to speak to me, begging to be noticed and elevated.  It is through my work that I glorify them as a metaphor for the fact that all that exists in our world is important.  Transforming these shards makes life exponentially more interesting as patterns and connections emerge where there were none.  It is my hope that a metamorphosis occurs as viewers are forced to look at things differently.

This unique piece is made from a found street sign, and has been professionally mounted into a heavy frame to support the artwork.
