Clifford Johnson"Neptune" 1997 | Oil on Canvas | Size = 34" X 48""Neptune" was the last painting produced by New York City artist Clifford Johnson. In a presentation, Cliff described it thus: "The figure in the mist is Neptune, the Greek god of the sea – also many fish forms – and one of Neptune's sea nymphs". This masterful canvas is exceedingly rare because there are very few remaining works of the artist's in color, most are in private collections, and the majority of his works were graphite drawings. Mr. Johnson's work has been exhibited at the The Whitney Museum of Art. Item No. 218 | Opening Price = $1000 | Artist's Estimated Value = $2,500 | Current Top Bid = Previous | Home | Next |
