"Yankee Strike/Hit", explores the dynamism of the torso in rotation, as defined by the action of a Baseball figure at bat.The figure has been imagined as a composite form derived from Classical Greek Sculpture, Rubens and Superhero Comics which have been imaginatively fused with the observation of the rotating torso, creating sense of 'torsion', reflecting the ambivalent, sense of a ball being hit, or missed.
This implied tension remains the 'focus' of the painting.
