"Farbrausch 01" 2009 | Ilfochrome Film Mounted behind Glass No. 2 of 10 | Size = 5.91" X 3.94"

The concept for my FARBRAUSCH series developed whilst I was working on the theme of macro-photography. I realised that just creating images of nature didn't really awaken my interest, sobegan to experiment with fuzziness and movement.The series focuses on the interplay between skilfully placed points of sharp focus, which, almost as if by magic, capture the eye of the beholder, channelling his gaze through the fields of abstraction into the magic of colours. The intense luminosity of the image's colours is striking - some are fascinatingly strong, some entrancingly delicate - characteristics which are intensified by being developed on Ilfochrome and to a size of 5.91" x 3.94" or larger.The image "Farbrausch 01" gains its intensity from the various, partly iridescent red tones and their flowing runs of colour. The movement of the wind is made visible, enabling the observer to practically feel an energetic force emanating from the work.The work was developed on Ilfochrome and mounted behind glass to a size of 5.91" x 3.94". It has been hand-signed on the back, giving details of the work's number and edition (2/10).
